The new Marie Curie School in Leipzig combines modern architecture with high-quality functionality. The ceiling systems make a significant contribution to this outcome, having been customised to meet the acoustic and design requirements of a contemporary educational environment.

In the assembly hall, the refectory and the multi-purpose room on the ground floor and the library on the first floor, the POLYLAM-S sliding vertical louvre system was installed in various colours. These elements are backed with mineral fibre wool and are therefore highly effective acoustically. In addition, the PUNTEO S025 lighting system has been integrated seamlessly into the POLYLAM system. This contributes to a precise and efficient lighting solution while preserving the clear appearance of the ceiling. Furthermore, QUADRA single-blade open-cell ceilings have been installed in all corridors on every storey of this building. Its clearly defined open-cell structure creates a tranquil, structured appearance, while its robust design withstands the daily requirements of school operations.

Together, POLYLAM-S – including integrated PUNTEO S025 lighting – and QUADRA create a coherent, functional and acoustically optimised interior concept that sustainably enhances the quality of time spent throughout the learning environment of this school building.
