The Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct in Sydney invites around 2500 pupils to learn and linger. The distinctive ceiling solutions were supplied by durlum.
Either as ceilings in the many leisure areas or as wall cladding in the bike storage room: these corrugated metal panels suit any application. Powder coated in different RAL colours and with a perforated hole diameter of 5 mm, they successfully reflect the open character of this building.
The same airy and light look imbues the sports hall: powder-coated in pale green, the expanded metal ceiling impresses with its large mesh. The finisher forms a kind of frame around the ceiling, creating the impression of a large raft ceiling.
Secured with storm clips, circular stainless steel raft ceilings enhance the visual impact of the open foyer. The 3D embossing of these metal panels, complemented by the shiny surface, is reminiscent of gentle ocean waves. A successful project, entirely in keeping with the elements of air and water.
